Climate Reality Leader, Diwakar Reddy in his own words –

Yay! I have waited so long for this moment!!

Last July, I was so excited, when I was told that my story was selected to Climate Reality documentary video, among 1300 leaders represented by 70 countries and 50 states in Chicago.

Well, it all started few years back when the incredible feat of engineering caught my attention; a 14 years old school drop-out Malawian teenager, William Kamkwamba who knocked together a turbine from spare bicycle parts, a tractor fan blade, an old shock absorber, and fashioned blades from plastic pipes, adapted a design he saw in a library book in order to provide electricity for his family in rural Malawi.

As the finished product’s blades began to spin in the breeze, the bulb flickered to life and a crowd of astonished onlookers went wild. He proved it to the world, what one person with an inspired idea, can do to tackle the crisis that we are facing.

Well, I am so happy to share Climate Reality Video involving my story and my experience at Chicago Climate reality leadership corps; most important – the call for action on the climate change.

Thank you Vice President Al Gore for the recognition and much thanks to all the Climate Reality Leaders across the globe.

I am grateful for everything and everyone in my life, especially my loving brother Prabhakar Reddy Krishnappa

About the Climate Reality Project

The Climate Reality Project, founded and chaired by former Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore, is dedicated to unleashing a global cultural movement demanding action on the climate crisis. Despite overwhelming international scientific consensus on climate change, the global community still lacks the resolve to implement meaningful solutions. The Climate Reality Project exists to forge an unwavering bedrock of impassioned support necessary for urgent action. With that foundation, together we will ignite the moral courage in our leaders to solve the climate crisis.

The Climate Reality Project employs cutting-edge communications and grassroots engagement tools to break the dam of inaction and raise the profile of the climate crisis to its proper state of urgency. With a global movement more than 5 million strong and a grassroots network of Climate Leaders trained by Chairman Al Gore, we stand up to denial, press for solutions, and spread the truth about climate change to empower our leaders to solve the climate crisis.
