No 520 Posted by fw, July 8, 2012

On May 15, 2012, New Yorkers Against Fracking held a concert and rally to raise awareness of the dangers of hydraulic fracking. New York musicians and scientists came together in Albany to share readings, songs and a rally in the governor’s backyard.

With a blend of interviews and concert footage, the filmmaker Alex Gibney covers the anti-hydraulic fracturing rally and accompanying benefit concert featuring Natalie Merchant and Mark Ruffalo.

The story was later featured in text and video on The Opinion Pages of the New York Times: Songs Against Drilling, July 5, 2012
